Universal Postal Union Congress commemorative medal
Description:
Edward Horgan, associate postmaster general and president of the 20th UPU Congress, presented this commemorative medal to participants of the Congress, which was held in Washington, D.C., in 1989. The medal is possibly gold-plated and has images of the Lincoln and Washington Memorials and the Capitol on one side; 20th Congress marks (20e Congress UPU / Washington DC 1989) surrounding the emblem of the envelope and globe on the reverse side. It was given in a presentation box with a complimentary card by Horgan.
